Christ Ahnsahnghong Revealed Our True Home
6 comments Posted by Son born of the Free Woman at 11:58 PMA few weeks ago I had to let my coworkers know that I was taking off from work in order to attend a special even at the Church of God World Mission Society. So one of them complained that I’m always taking off of work for church. He kept saying that I’ll never make a good living or have a great life if I’m always taking off for church.
Immediately I thought about how our Heavenly Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother taught us that our true home is not on this earth.
I showed my coworker what this earth really is according to the Bible.
Psalms 102:19- “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.” Then why would God look down to the earth and describe us as prisoners? Obviously because God views this earth as a prison. Then if God call this earth a prison, should I consider it my home?
Let’s see what one of the most well known characters in the Old Testament says about his time here on earth.
Genesis 47:8- “Pharaoh asked him, ‘How old are you?’ And Jacob said to Pharaoh, ‘The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty.’”
When Pharaoh asked Jacob his age, instead of just saying I am 130 years old, he said the years of his pilgrimage are 130. Then what does this mean? A pilgrimage is a journey in which one leaves his home to visit another place or city. According to Jacob, his time on this earth was just a journey away from his home.
Even King David let us know more about this fact.
Psalms 119:18- “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.” King David said he was a stranger on earth, how can we consider this earth our home then?
By this time my coworker was pretty clear on where I was going with this. He understood that I’m not worried about having a life like Donald Trump on this earth because this is not our true home. However, I wanted to share with him one more verse in which our Father Christ Ahnsahnghong made it very clear that this earth is not our home.
Hebrews 11:13- “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead they were longing for a better country- a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
Thanks to our Heavenly Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother because they came to remind us of our true heavenly home. Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother came to bring us back to our heavenly home from this earthly prison. I think my coworker understood that I’m not overly concerned with having a glorious life on this earth because we at the Church of God World Mission Society have a glorious life in a beautiful city waiting for us in the kingdom of heaven.
