The Love Given through Passover

2 John vs. 6 says; And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love.

Disciple John said that true love is the obedience of Jesus' commands. Jesus, while on this earth commanded many things, but the one thing He showed His love in was in keeping the Passover feast. Before His crucifixion, Jesus eagerly wanted to keep the Passover feast with His disciples. Even though the Passover gave many things such as forgiveness of sins and eternal life, He himself didn't need the Passover. His purpose was to bring the Passover to the disciples so that they may receive the gifts He eagerly wanted to give. That is love! Even to the point of death, Jesus Christ only thought about His disciples.

With love the Passover was given. Any place that says they believe in God and proclaim the true love of Christ, should urge you to keep the Passover. If that church wants to keep your spirit alive in Christ they should offer you Passover right at the door. Hebrews chapter 9:28 says that Christ will come a second time and bring salvation. Salvation is the Passover because our souls are given the chance to repent to second coming Christ. If we keep the Passover as second coming Christ has commanded then we will receive the full extent of love from God.

Love is. . . Passover.
